Italy ex-PM Matteo Renzi to give Polaris Summit keynote

MATTEO RENZI

Polaris Leadership Summit announced today that Matteo Renzi, former Prime Minister of Italy, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s Summit at London’s Plaisterer’s on 13 June.

Having served as Italy’s youngest-ever Prime Minister from 2014 to 2016, Renzi is internationally recognised for his leadership during a period of significant economic and political reform. Today, Renzi continues to play a central role in European and global affairs as a Senator for Florence in the Italian Republic, a position he has held since 2018. He is also the leader of Italia Viva, the centrist party he founded in 2019.

In addition to his parliamentary work, Renzi was recently appointed Strategic Counsellor at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where he advises political leaders worldwide on reform programmes and strategic policy delivery. His current work at the Institute focuses on supporting governments as they navigate complex challenges, from digital innovation to economic transformation.

The Polaris Leadership Summit is the premier global event for political strategists, public affairs professionals, and public sector communicators. This year’s theme, Leading in Times of Uncertainty, will address the challenges and opportunities facing leaders as they navigate global security risks, economic crises, and the evolving media landscape.

The Summit will feature a distinguished line-up of speakers and panellists, exploring topics such as:

•   Economic and social forces shaping the political landscape

•   Strategies for a fragmented media environment

•   Leveraging strategic communications to rebuild institutional trust

•   The evolving role of AI in political campaigns

Following the conference, attendees are invited to the prestigious Polaris Awards Gala Dinner, celebrating excellence and innovation in political and public sector communications worldwide.
