Benedict Buckland

Chief Creative Officer at alan.

Benedict’s route to Chief Creative Officer has not been what you’d call linear. After a degree in Anthropology, and following a brief flirtation with a career in law, he joined BP’s commercial graduate scheme. On the programme, he worked as a business analyst, a national account manager and brand manager as well as a stint in the group transformation team. A bit of a culture shock but it gave him the unusual accolade of being a creative leader who can model working capital! Since making the leap (of faith) agency side, Benedict has worked as both a strategy and creative lead for brands such as KPMG, Mastercard, Google and Schroders. In his current role as Chief Creative Officer, he is responsible for leading the creative direction and capabilities for the alan. (B2B marketing) and Sectorlight (placemaking marketing) brands. With a background in strategy, brand and analytics, he brings business and marketing focus to creative solutions.
