Polaris Awards celebrates standout campaigns

Held at RSA House, the awards honoured the year's most influential public sector and political communications work

The Polaris Awards returned to London on 19 June, bringing together agencies, public bodies and communications professionals to celebrate outstanding work in political and public sector communications.

Held in the Great Room at RSA House, the ceremony was hosted by radio and television presenter Jeremy Sallis and recognised campaigns across a broad range of disciplines.

Established in 2017, the Polaris Awards spotlight exceptional creativity and effectiveness in public sector and political communications. This year’s programme was divided into two main sections: Public Sector Campaigns and Election Campaigns, each featuring multiple specialist categories covering channels and objectives including policy change, business communications, TV and cinema, print and more.

A total of 96 awards were presented on the night, including 21 Silver and 11 Gold awards. Among the organisations recognised with Gold honours were Pablo London & Unlimited, Gamma Comunicação, BELBİM Electronic Money and Payment Services Inc, Edelman, McCann London and The Electoral Commission.

Entries were evaluated by the international Polaris Awards Jury, made up of industry experts from across the communications sector. Work was scored using a weighted average system, with scores of 6.5 earning a Bronze award, 7.5 a Silver and entries achieving more than 8.5 receiving Gold status.

The full list of winners is available on the Polaris Awards website.
